- About Me:
- Fournier Children’s Design is a small but highly proactive enterprise that has embraced the care for social development and conservation of the environment. Since 2003 Fournier has been involved in a most unique design of children’s clothing wholly manufactured in Bolivia, South America. The enterprise run by women employs mostly women who formerly did not have the possibility of contributing income to the household. Four years later, more than 60 proud indigenous women in Cochabamba, Bolivia now provide more than 75% of the household income.
Anabel Fournier started the clothing line as a poverty alleviation project and lead by this Costa Rican born of French descent, women knitters and seamstresses craft the unique and warm designs inspired by an artsy and creative mind who combines hues, colors, textures, patterns, fabrics and yarns into perfection and the most delicate apparel for children.
